This year, I registered for the LAX for the Cure because my team and I want to help save lives by raising funds to support local breast cancer patients and research. For me though, it is personal.
My grandmother, Judith Fey, died at the age of 54 from breast cancer. Although I never met her she is always in my heart. My mom shares stories about her with me all of the time. I wish I could have met her. My grandma Judye was beautiful, smart, artistic and funny. So, I am participating in Lax For The Cure, along with my teammates, to help find a cure and help others stay alive for their children, grandchildren and themselves.
