I recently accepted the challenge to participate in the 23rd Annual Susan G. Komen Central and South Jersey Race for the Cure and raise funds in support of Komen's vision of a world without breast cancer.
I was personally affected by breast cancer in October 2014 (diagnosed in September, surgery in October) so not only is October Breast Cancer Awareness Month but it will also mark my 2nd Anniversary as a survivor. My life has changed in many ways because of breast cancer, but most importantly, it's taught me to be stronger and to fight. So on November 6, 2016, I will not only run for myself but for all those affected by breast cancer.
Your support helps us get one step closer to a world without breast cancer. 75% of the money raised through the Race stays in the community to fund local breast cancer education, screening and treatment programs. The remaining 25% supports groundbreaking breast cancer research.
Together, we are fueling the best science, boldest community and biggest impact in the fight against breast cancer. And we will not stop until this disease is gone forever. That’s our promise. Will you please join me in this fight by making a donation today?
